Built in 1926, the building was first used as the Turkish Hearths Club, then as the Republican People's Party Centre and the People's House, before being allocated to Malatya High School. Today, it functions as the Atatürk Memorial House and Ethnography Museum. The building, made of ashlar stonework, comprises a basement and ground floor. This building is a rare example of the First National Movement architecture in Malatya. The museum's rooms are arranged as follows: a room displaying Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's photographs taken in various provinces and Malatya, a representative room of the meeting that Atatürk held with the notables of the city during his visit to Malatya, a room prepared in memory of the citizens of Malatya who were martyred in World War I, and a room exhibiting photographs of Atatürk's funeral. Additionally, the hall displays hand-woven carpets and various ethnographic artefacts.
