When Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk came to Samsun on 19 May 1919, he stayed in this building known as Mıntıka (Mantıka) Palace. The building was later presented to the Great Leader by the people of Samsun on his second visit between 20-24 September 1924. On 16 September 1928 and 22 November 1930, Atatürk stayed in this building when he visited Samsun. The building has been used as a museum since 08 November 1998. The exhibits include Atatürk’s civil and military belongings, as well as wax sculptures of Atatürk and his 18 arms friends.
