Alanya is a significant Mediterranean tourism hub, boasting blue flag beaches, a stunning sea, and top-notch hotels. The city has a rich history dating back to the 4th century BC and has been inhabited by various civilizations. Its strategic location and harbor have made it a popular settlement throughout history. The Alanya Museum showcases the city's rich historical heritage, including a bronze-cast Heracles statue from the 2nd century AD. The statue played a significant role in the opening of the Museum. A dedicated section, Heracles Hall, is reserved for its display. The Hall of Anatolian Civilizations showcases daily use items made of glass, bronze, terracotta, jewelry, grave gifts, and sculptures dating from the Paleolithic Age onwards.
